Lady Buffalo harriers earn LouPlatte Conference cross country crown, Gibbon boys runners up

Led by top ten finishes by Jade Bentley, Lindsay Wilkens and Alissa Bailey and buoyed by solid finishes by Marlene Avina, Jocelyn Shea and Taylor Schubauer, the Gibbon girls cross country team took home the LouPlatte Conference crown on Tuesday, October 2, at the meet held in Ord.

Nathan Holcomb and Kaleb Pickel finished the boys race in first and second place, respectively, and Izaiah Gomez was tenth as the Buffaloes placed second as a team with 45 points behind top placing St. Paul with 39 points.

“I’m very proud of both teams for their great performances,” stated head coach Leon Stall.
