Five letterwinners to lead Lady Centurion hoops in 2018-19 season

In Coach Thober’s words, “We took some tough blows during the off-season,” referencing transfers, graduation, and injuries, “but we still have some very dedicated, hard working kids who will compete. We will prepare and work hard and will always expect to defeat our next opponent.” Jeff Thober enters his fourth season at the helm of the Lady Centurion basketball program and will be assisted by Robin Keilig and Scott Korinek. The trio greets two 2017-18 starters in Sam Simdorn and Kaleigh Johnson, both seniors. Cydney Turek, Darci Reimers, and Elayna Holcomb return with letters having been earned last year. The total roster includes four seniors, one junior, five sophomores, and four freshmen. The first game of the season takes the Centura ladies on the road to Sandy Creek for a 6:00 game tomorrow, Friday, November 30. Saturday, December 1, Wood River comes to Centura for a game that has a 3:30 tip, and next Tuesday, the 4th, Centura stays home again, this time to take on Central City in a game that starts at 6:15.
