Cheney four-time medalist at GICC meet

Ry Cheney won the 400 and ran with all three of Shelton’s second-place relays at the Grand Island Central Catholic invitational track meet Friday, March 29. Remington Wright and Marcus Lauber each medalled in individual events in the meet as well.

Cheney took the 400 meter crown in the meet that included teams from Class B, Class C, and Shelton, from Class D. Cheney’s time in the 400 was 53.38 seconds. As part of the second-place 4 X 100 relay, he ran with Remington and Sterling Wright, along with Marcus Lauber. That foursome turned in a time of 45.88 seconds.
