Centurions spoil homecoming game for Buffaloes

By a 49-7 score, the Centura Centurions returned home from Gibbon with a win over the Buffaloes, squelching the home team’s hopes for a homecoming victory on Friday, October 5.

Centura drew first blood on a 23-yard pass from Tyler Ruhl to Juan Perez to take a six point lead in the first quarter. Ruhl supplied the PAT kick which put the lead over Gibbon at 7-0 early.

In the second quarter, Ruhl scored on a 33-yard touchdown run followed by the PAT kick and later that quarter, Eli Wooden returned a punt 25 yards for a score on which Ruhl tacked the PAT kick which gave the Centurions a 21-0 lead at halftime.
