Theodore G. Wiese, age 67, of Shelton, ladies’ man, hard worker, kid at heart, always good for a laugh, animal lover and avid cyclist passed away November 30, 2018. He was born June 25, 1951, to Ray and Olive Wiese. Please, come help us celebrate his love of life at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton. Visitation will be at 6:30 Sunday evening, December 9, with Devine Mercy Rosary following at 7:30. Funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 10, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton with a luncheon to follow. Ted traveled a lot for his job and enjoyed the freedom of the road. As a road maintenance manager in the state of Kansas, he was running with his crews all over the state and loved being the “go to” man for his job. He could also tell you where the best places were to hunt in Kansas and where they are catching the biggest fish in any season. He loved to hunt, fish and camp whenever he could get away from work. He was also born with the love to dance, at every campfire, family gathering and really any other opportunity, Ted would start dancing — even when there was no music. He always had a good beat going on in his head. He was a true romantic. He was always ready to give a great neck message or spin a lady around on the “dance floor.” Ted’s pride and joy were all of his nieces and nephews. The kids all knew him as their crazy Uncle Ted. He would do anything for them. He was always bragging about them and he could tell a thousand stories about their adventures with him. He moved back to Nebraska about five years ago to be closer to family and because of his love for the great state of Nebraska. We really appreciate how the people of Shelton embraced him and made him one of their own. He grew up in Columbus. With Jesus in his heart, Ted left his family to celebrate his life, four brothers, Pat and wife Susan Wiese (California), Tim and wife Pat Wiese (South Dakota), Steve and wife Tracy Wiese (North Carolina), Chuck and wife Julie Wiese (Nebraska); three sisters, Mary and husband Jeff Searcy (Nebraska), Theresa and husband Tom Delaet (Nebraska) and Cindy and husband Alan Martin (North Dakota); and many nieces and nephews. He was meet in heaven by his parents, Ray and Olive Wiese.
