Parade to highlight Gibbon 4th of July
“Fireworks and Freedom” is the theme for the Gibbon Independence Day celebration to be held on Wednesday, July 4.
Festivities for the day begin with the line up for the annual parade begining at 7:30 a.m. at Rosen Park. Judging of entries will begin at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 9:00 a.m. Entrants must be lined up and ready to be eligible for judging.
The always entertaining, much anticipated annual parade through town begins at 10:00 a.m. The Open Door Fellowship at 13 West Avenue will be serving hot dogs and providing music during the parade and following the July 4 parade, the Gibbon Baptist church will be serving ice cream bars. The Chamber of Commerce barbecue will be held in Pioneer Park featuring a sandwich, chips and a drink after the parade ends.
