Krueger steps aside after quarter century of service on Gibbon City Council
Reorganization and recognition were the words of the night at the regular monthly meeting of the Gibbon City Council on Monday, December 17.
Some changes came to the Gibbon City Council and city administration Monday, beginning with Mayor Deb VanMatre administering the oath of office to reelected councilman Leon Stall and newly elected councilman Jeff Burmood. Councilman Burmood replaces long-time retiring councilman Albert Krueger. Of his 24 years in office, Krueger remarked, “It’s really been an honor. I learned a lot.” He also congratulated councilman Burmood. Mr. Krueger received a “Key To The City” by Mayor VanMatre at Monday’s meeting.
