Gibbon FBLA members earn awards at SLC

Members of the Gibbon FBLA Chapter who recently attended the FBLA State Leadership Conference (SLC) in Omaha were, left to right, Faith Yockey, Jiromi Corona, Christopher Mercer, Abby Christensen, and Martin Montanez. Individual awards were earned by Jiromi Corona and Abby Christensen. Coronoa earned first place in Middle Level Multi Media and Website Development and fifth place in Middle Level Financial Literacy/Business Math. Christensen received an All State Quality Member Award and Pin and a Business Achievement Award-Future Award. As a chapter, Gibbon received the Gold Seal Award of Merit (only 15% of Nebraska Chapters earn this award) and Sweepstakes Award. They were also recognized for their Go Green Project, March of Dimes Contribution, Nebraska FBLA Foundation Donation, and StepUp2Tech. The chapter awards are shared by all 33 members of the Gibbon High School FBLA Chapter as it is a requirement all members help in some way throughout the year on various projects. (—courtesy photo)
