Cargill Cares contributes to Wood River childcare project
Wood River Vision 2020 Inc. has been awarded a $30,000 grant from Cargill Inc. for the future Stick Creek Kids Child Development Center. The project was selected by the Cargill Cares Committee for its impact on education, health and nutrition, as well as community development. The grant will be distributed in three annual installments of $10,000.
In addition, a $5,000 matching grant was received from the Cargill Global Partnership Fund for 2019, and reapplication for the matching funds will be made in the coming years as well. Tara Fortune, Sales Support Representative and Cargill Cares Team Member, stated “We’re excited to invest in this very important project in central Nebraska!” With 350+ Cargill Cares Councils, Cargill’s employees and retirees give their time and talent every day to help their local communities thrive.
